APO Alumni

The Alumni meeting of The Academy of Patient Organizations (APO) opened new ways of dialogue between deputies of the Czech health care system and patients

The first unique APO Alumni meeting was held in the Residence of U.S. Ambassador in Prague, October 2. Deputies of the Czech health care system met with representatives of patient organizations (PO). The U.S. Ambassador Andrew Shapiro made his first public appearance in the Czech Republic after his inauguration.

Stakeholders and patients at one place

The invitation was accepted by more than 50 representatives of PO and deputies of the Czech health care system: Mr. Josef Vymazal (deputy of the minister of Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic), Mr. Petr Honěk (General Health Care Insurance Company), Mrs. Irena Storová (State Institute for Drug Control) and Mrs. Alena Šteflová (head of WHO Czech Republic).
